About the event
The New Hanover County Branch of the NAACP, in partnership with New Hanover for All and the local chapter of the AFL-CIO, is proud to announce this Municipal Candidate Forum ahead of the 2025 elections. This forum is designed to provide voters with a unique opportunity to hear directly from candidates and engage in the democratic process.
This event will feature moderated discussions with candidates, by acclaimed WECT news anchor, Jon Evans. The forum is non-partisan and open to the public. All registered candidates have been invited to participate.“ We are committed to ensuring that our community has access to the information they need to make informed decisions at the ballot box,” said LeRon Montgomery, President of the New Hanover County NAACP. “ This forum is about civic engagement, accountability, and amplifying the voices of our residents.
